Who we are

The Trans Well-being Team is an NGO focusing on the mental health of trans people. Our team was founded in March 2018 in Guangzhou, and currently has more than 40 volunteers. Our goal is to improve the well-being of trans people and to promote gender diversity and equality in society through community service, community empowerment, research, public education, and social advocacy.

Trans people (transgender people and gender non-conforming people), refer to people whose gender identity or gender expression is inconsistent with the social norms of their sex assigned at birth, and who cross, challenge and transcend the traditional definition of male and female. Trans people include groups such as Gender Queer (Non-Binary, Third Gender), Trans Women (“Male to Female/MtF”), Trans Men (“Female to Male/FtM”), Transexual People (“TS”), and Cross-Dressers(“CD”).
